Uthavn

Uthavn are a particularly Norwegian (or maybe Scandi) thing: take an isolated bay or island beauty spot and provide such things as wooden quay, toilet, BBQ area and a kids play area- as well as rubbish bins, and all for nothing but a small donation. This is Norway doing what it does best; getting out in nature and enjoying it with friends and family.

Litle Teistholmen is a beautiful crescent island only 3 miles from Stavanger with a sandy bay, picnic area, toilet and rubbish facilities- as well as an obstacle course play area for all ages!  This was our first destination for an overnight stay and we were really impressed with the facilities on the uninhabited tiny island...

Line is an uninhabited island about 4nm N of Stavanger with a protected mooring quay, a mooring buoy and numerous bays to anchor in. The island has a few sheep, lots of trees and plenty of peace and quiet. There are some paths made up, or you can go for a scramble through the trees...
